The Annual GHI Recruitment Night – Sep. 12th 2016

On September 12th, the Global Health Initiative (GHI) will be holding the annual Global Health Recruitment Night.

GHI is a student-led initiative including students with various backgrounds and different levels of global health knowledge. Students, through GHI, have the opportunity to learn more about global health in both workshops and lecture series. GHI also offers the opportunity to participate in a global health project during the summer, either internationally or locally.  A very new exciting opportunity this year is the joining of the Refugee Health Initiative with GHI, which provides incredible opportunities to learn about refugee health in the city of Vancouver, throughout the whole year.

On September 12th the evening will begin with an introduction of GHI by Khalil Merali and Alanna Roberts, the 2016/17 GHI Co-Chairs, followed by Dr. Videsh Kapoor.  Each team from the previous year has been invited to come and share their project and future directions in a short presentation, it is an exciting opportunity to learn about all of the projects in the GHI. Teams will also have photo slideshows prepared to share with those interested in learning more about specific projects following the presentations.
