Project Title: Elective placements in Malawi at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, Blantyre District health Office and other districts
Target: UBC Graduate/postgraduate and advanced clinical students
Project description:
Under mentorship of BICO, clinical students wishing to do between 4-6 weeks of clinical rotations in the areas of their choice will be paired with a suitable supervisor in a selected hospital and be able to undergo training. in addition, Dr Khumbo Kalua would give global health talks on neglected tropical diseases and the challenges faced, and organize community visits to the health centres, with the aim of providing practical experiences.
Minimum number needed: 2
Post graduate students who may want to undertake their research studies in Malawi will be welcome to be housed under BICO.
