Through a series of case scenarios, Dr. Maureen Mayhew will be discussing Refugee Health in Canada. Dr. Mayhew is a Clinical Associate Professor at UBC and Johns Hopkins School of Population and Public Health. She has 25 years of experience practicing medicine in a variety of settings including rural and remote, cross cultural, inner city, refugee health, public health and international public health. She has worked in Afghanistan and Africa, and is the editor/author of the Canadian Paediatric Society: Caring for Kids New to Canada http://www.kidsnewtocanada.ca/ (a tool for health professionals working with immigrant and refugee children and youth).
