Speaker Bio: Judy McLean
Judy McLean is an Assistant Professor, Food Nutrition & Health, in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems with a focus on International Nutrition. Her work is focused on improving maternal, infant and child nutrition through scalable, evidence-based approaches with an emphasis on reducing micronutrient deficiencies. She works with the UN organizations and NGOs involved with nutrition in Rwanda, Zambia, Cambodia and other countries on intervention projects ranging from home based fortification with micronutrient powders to integrated homestead food production and nutrition education programs. She has also designed the nutrition curriculum for post-graduate education in Cambodia and Mongolia and developed national policy for preventing micronutrient deficiencies.
