Our journal club will be focused on two recent Malaria reviews from the Lancet (attached to this email). The first is a general review of malaria biology and epidemiology, followed by a second paper detailing “new strategies for new challenges” in Malaria elimination.

We are very fortunate to have as our guest Dr. Jan Hajek, Clinical Assistant Professor, Infectious Disease, University of British Columbia. Dr. Hajek will actually be joining us from Uganda, where he is doing both clinical work and developing partnerships between the UBC Faculty of Medicine and Gulu University and regional hospitals.
