This workshop will cover challenges and controversies surrounding HIV treatments at home and internationally.
Speaker: Dr. Richard Currie.
Richard graduated from the UBC Rural Family Medicine Program in 2006, and went on to do an extra year of Enhanced Skills Residency Training in International Health. After graduation he joined Medecins Sans Frontieres / Doctors Without Borders, completing four missions between 2008 and 2012. During this period he has worked in HIV projects in Kenya, Ethiopia, Central African Republic, Somalia and Tchad. When not overseas Richard practices family and emergency medicine in Salmon Arm, BC.
